Meet Emily
Zhao Hui (Emily) Wang, Registered Social Worker
Hi, I am Emily, a registered social worker (RSW), psychotherapist.
I believe that each person holds their own strengths and resilience. My role is to guide and support you as we uncover the deeper layers of your experiences and identify pathways for meaningful change.
Together, we’ll work towards your goals, celebrating your growth and transformation every step of the way.

Approaches
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT teaches you to become your own therapist — understanding how your thinking patterns influence your emotions and behavior, and learning tools to change them for healthier outcomes.
Mindfulness Practice
It's about learning to be fully present — observing your experience moment by moment, with kindness and acceptance.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
SFBT helps you move from “what’s wrong” to “what’s possible,” focusing on solutions, strengths, and progress rather than problems or pathology.
Trauma-Informed Care
It shifts the question from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?” — creating compassionate, empowering environments that support recovery and resilience.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
MI helps you talk yourself into change — by guiding, not pushing, them toward their own reasons and confidence for making it happen.
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT helps you heal through emotion rather than from emotion — using feelings as the pathway to understanding, change, and stronger relationships.
